SKY | ANDAZ HOTEL MUNICH
At Andaz Munich Schwabinger Tor, the first Andaz hotel in Germany, we created a permanent site-specific installation for the lobby.
Four structural columns were transformed into 10-meter-high video walls, turning the architecture into a living canvas. Over the course of a year, we filmed the Munich sky in ultra-high-resolution time-lapse from the hotel’s rooftop—capturing its shifting clouds, changing light, and endless variations of blue and white.
The result is a hyper-realistic window into the sky, echoing the colors of the Bavarian flag and evoking the city’s identity in its most elemental form. As guests arrive, they are greeted not only by the architecture of the hotel, but by the vast openness above Munich—a meditative presence that brings calm, connection, and a sense of belonging.
