LIGHT FOREST
Freelance Design Director (with HUSH)
For Instagram’s headquarters in San Francisco, an interactive spatial installation was developed from initial concept through to production.
The work transforms a series of vertical light columns into a responsive environment driven by community-generated content. Visitors can select images and videos, which are translated into color, light, and motion across the entire space, turning individual choices into a collective spatial environment.
The installation is structured as both an active and passive experience. Within the interactive zone, selected content reshapes the environment in real time. Along the outer perimeter, a continuous field of light evolves throughout the day, creating a constantly shifting atmospheric presence.
The project required the development of concept, interaction, and spatial system across a multidisciplinary team, integrating content, technology, and spatial design into a unified environment.
